Espresso can also be served as a two-ounce double shot. Some coffeehouses only serve double shots, or doppio, to help keep quality consistent. Espresso can also be made lungo or 'long' using the same amount of coffee but twice the amount of water. Espresso is drunk throughout the day but is especially popular in the morning and after a meal.
As a complete beginner with brewing espresso, it took me about 3 brewed cups to get the hang of it & the rest is history! I’ve brewed 2-3 double shots a day since I bought it & have no plans to return or stop at this point. My husband & I now enjoy all the espresso drinks we used to pay $4-6 for at home, which makes me (& my wallet) very happy!
