Not a Subscription All Mailplane licenses are perpetual and you will get small updates for free. Only major updates (e.g. Better touch tool magic mouse 2. Mailplane 4 to 5) will require a new license, but no. Cmd-Shift-4 is the built-in Mac OS X screenshot facility, which I never use because it creates an oddly named file on the Desktop that then has to be attached to the email message manually and later thrown away. Mailplane's two-click approach offers exactly the same functionality without the intermediary file or the need to attach manually.
The most convenient way to get matplotlib is to use a package management tool as described in the installation instructions. If, however, you really need to access the downloads directly, they are available on PyPI. Older releases, prior to version 1.2.0, are available on SourceForge. MailPlane for Mac comes with a free 15-day trial. The full version is available for $24.95 and there's also a Family License available for $39.95. The installation is very straightforward.

Mailplane is an e-mailclient for Mac OS X that 'wraps' the Gmail service as a site-specific browser. This gives the user a more application-like experience than using Gmail in a browser, including the ability to drag and drop files into attachments, use the OS X Address Book and Keychain,[1] use spell checking, easily send images, and use Gmail as the outbound mailer when clicking on mailto links. It is written using Mac OS X's Cocoa and WebKitAPIs.
CNet awards it a five-of-five star rating,[2] while Macworld gives it a 3.5 out of 5.[3]The Verge does not provide a rating as such, but rates it highly in their review,[4] while a roundup of similar software by AppleInsider stated 'MailPlane offers the best OS X experience of any third party mail application.'[5]Art text 3 2 6 cm.
As of July 8, 2020, an older version (v3) of Mailplane will no longer have access to Gmail data, rendering it inoperable. Later versions (Version 4+) are approved by Google and will continue to operate.[6]
